CCC Milestones

2024

The college implemented night classes to cater face to face classes for all year levels. The EDUKALAKBAY: Kalakbay at Kaagapay para sa Kinabukasan, was officially launched which aims to empower and support City Collegians and to promote equity and inclusion and fostering stronger bonds in communities and organizations in supporting students "education". LET Passing Percentage: Math: 100% Science: 95.45% BSNEd: 66.67%

2023

BSTM received their COPC. Limited face to face classes were implemented by the college. CCC celebrated its 15th founding year that resembled the success and the image of the institution catering exemplary skills and knowledge of the students. The first Gawad Parangal took place, acknowledging Mr. Julius Christopher Gonzales as the Natatanging City Collegian, currently a Master II teacher at Nag- Iba National High School. The college returned to the semestral curriculum. BPA was added as a new program. The institution proudly announced an 89.19% passing rate for BSNED, elementary level, and an impressive 96.30% for secondary levels in the September 2023 Licensure Exam for Teachers. Notably, CCC achieved a remarkable 100% pass rate in the BSED-Science program for the second time and a commendable 94.12% in the BSED-Math program. Nationally, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) report a 47.01% pass rate for elementary teachers and 56.26% for secondary teachers, providing detailed statistics on first-time passers. CCC received a passing rate of 64.29% in the Librarian Licensure Examination

2022

CCC started its Project GREEN Campaign in response to the Green City Project of the CGC. After 13 years, CCC Warriors snatched the championship both in Basketball Men and Women in CCAA ‘17. The college offered SHS-ALS starting with 53 learners. The first batch of the executive class graduated. CCC started the first semester of the school year 2021- 2022, using blended learning modality. BSHM received their COPC. Seven (7) Programs of the college were reaccredited for another 3 years at Level I by the Association of Local Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (ALCUCOA) which evaluate and recognize their compliance with a set of qualifications and standards.

2021

Dr. Ronald Cantos became the new college administrator after Mr. Rene Colocar. He stated that he hopes to continue what the City College of Calapan has envisioned as his legacy. He has already structured the organizational chart of the college so that the positions of each employee were made clear, and that concerns regarding each area, particularly in faculty, were now addressed. CCC started its online classes. CCC were able to put up barangay wifi that ranged from 18 Mbps to 70 Mbps and was publicly open for all the students of Calapan, in partnership with the city government. CCC received ALCU Certificate of membership and BSIS and BLIS received a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC).

2020

CCC was the first beneficiary of the City Ordinance No. 68-2020, or Educational Financial Assistance Program (EDUFAP) which aims to help with financial aspects of the students. As an immediate response to CoViD-19 Pandemic, the college implemented Graded Understanding through Reading Outputs (GURO) which was later modified into EAR Module which is an alternative teaching and learning mode.

2019

CCC was one of the 2019 HR Development Awardee of the Commission on Accreditation for Local Colleges & Universities. BLIS graduates also got a high percentage in their licensure examination for several years which adds to the pride and honor of the institution. CCC was named the 9th Best Library and Information Science Schools in the Philippines, and also 2nd place at Kalap Festival and has been qualified to represent Calapan at MIMAROPA Festival ’19 in which they ranked 2nd.

2018

The Wave system was piloted. The additional newly constructed Kalap Building was used as classrooms. CCC received Institutional Recognition from the Commission on Higher Education. CCC started to accept students from other Provinces and Municipalities. Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM), Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics (BSEd- Math), Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science (BSEd- Science) and Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) were given Level 1 Accreditation from ALCUCOA. The Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management was changed to Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management. The BEED-SPEd program also underwent a name change to Bachelor of Special Needs Education. Formerly known as Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Physical Science, it is now referred to as BSEd Major in Science. CCC ranked 63 out of 2,158 schools nationwide in Best in Secondary Education in the Philippines (based on board examination performance, number of examinees, top performing examinees, accreditation status and faculty-student ratio). Alumni and students presented in a Research Presentation at University of the Philippines Los Baños, in Laguna. CCC ranked 1st during the Kalap Festival.

2017

Students from CCC joined in a research presentation in Marinduque. CCC had its first Cum Laude, Mr. Arman Dudas who was also awarded the NSTP Student of the Year. CCC started the program, Barangay Governance, where the students are officials of Barangays in Calapan, specifically Barangay Chairmen.

2016

CCC was the first to offer the semestral opening in August. The college offered Senior High School with two tracks (STEM and ABM)

2015

The programs Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (BSHRM) and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) were qualified for the Level 1 Accreditation. CCC was acknowledged and given an Academic Excellence Award by ALCUCOA. CCC hosted the 7th ALCUAA Games.

2014

Third batch of BEED – SPEd graduates passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers with 100% passing rate.

2013

CCC participated in the Korea Philippines Faculty Exchange Program, particularly Dr. Ma. Amabella Rosanna M. Cuasay for about 2 1⁄2 months.

2012

The 21 first batch of CCC graduates from the BEED major in Special Education achieved a 100% passing percentage in the Licensure Examination for Teachers giving pride and honor to the academic community.

2011

The college moved to its 1st Academic Building inside the City Hall Compound in Guinobatan. CCC was awarded a TVET certification from TESDA to offer Housekeeping NC II courses. Three new programs were offered in CCC namely Bachelor in Library Information Science (BLIS), Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics and Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Physical Science. The HRM Building was constructed.

2010

CCC received a certificate of recognition and has been recognized as an accredited member of UNESCO Associated School Project Network (ASPnet).

2009

First founding anniversary of the City College of Calapan (CCC) since it paved way for the operation of the City College last March 12,2008 and amended the scholarship program stating that city government will no longer send scholars to other schools. There were 124 enrollees and general education was offered during the initial batch of enrollees at CCC with only 3 classrooms at Old City Hall.
